The Williams Brothers Band

"The Williams Brothers Band, originally founding members of northern California’s early jam band scene before anchoring in Western Colorado since 2000, delivers a dynamic national presence with their eclectic fusion of rock, blues, outlaw country, funk, and high desert Americana, driven by extended improvisational jams akin to The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, and Widespread Panic. Fronted by James "Papa Bear" Williams, whose soulful vocals recall Jim Morrison and Otis Redding, and Phillip Williams, wielding guitar prowess evocative of Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman, the band has garnered widespread acclaim, including a 2008 Golden Kayak Award nomination for "Circles," #1 indie chart-toppers like "Queen of the Honky Tonk," and a #5 Americana chart hit with "Get Me Down." With over 1,000 performances, they’ve electrified stages at major events like the Sturgis Bike Rally, Sundance Film Festival, and Country Jam, while sharing bills with national heavyweights such as The Wailers, Little Feat, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, The Lumineers, and Lukas Nelson. Their genre-defying energy and relentless touring have solidified their reputation as a formidable force in America’s jam band and roots rock landscape."
